Fusion Energy Division
Who Are We
The Fusion Energy Division of the ANS promotes the development and timely introduction of fusion energy as a sustainable energy source with favorable economic, environmental, and safety attributes. We cooperate with other organizations on common issues of multidisciplinary fusion science and technology, conduct professional meetings, and disseminate technical information in support of these goals. Our members are researchers, physicists, engineers, teachers, students, and many others, all of whom contribute to the assessment and resolution of critical developmental issues for practical fusion energy applications.
What's New
We are happy to announce the Dr. Kenneth Schultz Fusion Energy Scholarship is now available on our Awards page and seeking applicants. Applications are due each year on February 1.
Reasons to Join
Being a member of the Fusion Energy Division allows each individual to develop their strengths, helps people new to the field grow in knowledge and experience, and provides a conduit of information that connects the needs of Fusion Energy to the policy-makers of tomorrow. As our Division grows, each new member brings with them unique skills and valuable experience which enrich this small, but tight-knit community. We invite you to join our Division and we look forward to meeting you.
